Gaia Formigari (Rome, 1999) is a self-taught visual artist, primarily working in oil painting. In her work, the body is represented as a medium through which we experience the world: a sensitive threshold between inner life and tangible reality. Her research explores femininity as a complex space, where vulnerability and strength, tenderness and aggression coexist and reflect each other. She also trained as a graphic designer, honing her attention to the balance and strength of the image. She has exhibited in solo and group shows in Rome, including Gate-01 (Largo Venue), Vernissage Rome (Ex Forlanini and Palazzo Velli), Extra Art, Fax Factory, Via Vai, Galleria Cabaret Voltaire, and Tevere Art Gallery..
